Shiprock is regarded by the Navajo People as representing one of the battles to cleanse the world of the evil monsters that tried to kill the Earth Surface People and is situated close to N.M. 666 (North). This outcrop began as a small dot on the horizon as my wife and I were driving down through the Navajo Indian Reservation somewhere between Mexican water and Fort Defiance. Time seems to have stood still in White Oaks and I could spend weeks here and not capture all the wonderful old buildings this old town has in abundance. Every turn seemed to produce an artists dream scene, and no, unfortunately I didnt get a beer in the saloon!
